Shayne Dark competed and won the right to showcase his talents during the Summer Olympic Games that open in August in Athens, Greece. Dark, who lives in the Hartington area just north of Kingston [ON], isn’t an athlete. He’s an acclaimed installation artist and sculptor, one of only three Canadians selected to display work at the ARTiade Olympics of Visual Arts, an international art festival operated in conjunction with the Olympics….Dark, who lives and works on Fourteen Island Lake, had his piece — Donna’s Room — selected from a pool of more than 4,000 artists representing more than 120 countries.
