1. Can a gallery submit application on behalf of artists?
Yes, of course a gallery or art organization can submit applications on behalf of artists. In case that one of these is chosen by the jury, we will present your gallery as its sponsor in the exhibition, website etc.
2. Do you have a quota for each country?
No, it doesn’t exist any quota.
3. Does Artiade support delivery of artworks that would be displayed in Beijing and Los Angeles?
Yes, ARTIADE Organization supports chosen artists with contacts to Embassies, Consulates and National Olympic Committees. Transport costs have to be born by the artist or its sponsor.
4. How can the works be selected? Do you have official committee?
As written in §5. (The Jury) of the Conditions of Participation:
All registered artists will be presented to the Jury of the International ARTIADE Committee (IAC) in May 2008. This jury will select the participants for the 4th ARTIADE. For example see Jurymeeting of 2004
5. Has the venue for displaying works been decided? That would help us choosing artworks for submission.
Not yet. The IAC will choose the participants for the 2008 ARTIADE in May 2008. Also they chose the exhibits for Beijing and Los Angeles.
6. I bought the documents and received my Transaction-ID. But now I am not able to find out how to continue. Do I get documents per mail?
After you bought the docments, PayPal redirects you to the download page. There you have the possibility to download the “Application Documents” and the “Conditions of Participation“ as Adobe™-PDF files.
7. Where to send to artwork?
In the above mentioned “Application Documents” the address is mentioned as well as in the “Conditions of Participation“
8. What is the following line up? What next has to be done from my side?
Fill out the Application Forms completely, including pictures, movies etc. of your work(s) and send it to the above mentioned address. For further details see as well Conditions of Participation
9. I can’t download the Application Documents from your website. Is there another way to get them?
First you have to buy the application documents, using PayPal, Credit Card, Bank Transfer or Western Union. Goto http://download.artiade.org/buy_application.html to choose the above mentioned methods.
10. I bought already the Application Documents, used the mentioned way of point 9, but was unable to download the documents.
In this way you received a Transaction-ID. Please send us an email describing your problem. Then we will send you a link or the application documents as Adobe-PDF-File.
11. In 2004 you had so many sponsors, why do you charge an application fee from the artists?
1. All sponsors of 2004 are sponsors of the artists. They have been supported by these sponsors directly. They payed their transport costs, flights, accomodation etc. The ARTIADE Organization didn’t received any financial support by these sponsors.
2. Each applying artist has to pay a ‘registration and service fee’ (for details see Conditions of Participation) for every single artwork which he or she is applying / sending to the organization. These fees provide services for the integration of artwork into the ARTIADE database, internet – media - and or print presentation.

12. Why should I use PayPal to buy the application forms?
ARTIADE is PayPal verified partner. Therefore its for you the cheapest and safest way to receive your application documents.
